Assignment #3: Design File

TASK:
Begin to create an inventory of designs that you find intriguing and that you might pull influence from for your projects throughout the year

DIRECTIONS:
Using the interior design magazines; links on the blog used from the last assignment as well as the Getty Designs database of images (http://www.gettydesigns.com/) begin to develop a picture portfolio that includes the following items:

o 5 kitchens
o 5 dining rooms
o 5 living rooms
o 5 bedrooms
o 5 bathrooms
o 5 exteriors
o 5 public spaces (schools; banks; museums; theaters; auditoriums; store; shopping center; library; park; restaurant; café; train; gym; etc.)

The pictures that you collect must clearly represent the required items. The photographs must be large-- at least ¼ the size of this assignment sheet, and be clear of people and words.

Copy and paste all of the images into a Word or Power Point document. If you find interesting images from the interior design magazine follow the directions for scanning. If you are using a laptop save your pictures to your shared folder (the one you can access from anything computer); open the document on a desktop computer and print out using the HS-006 or HS-002 printer.

Once you have completed all of the directions listed above, label the back of the picture with your name as well as which of the above it is (ex: dining room; kitchen; etc.) Paper clip them together and place them in your folder.
